This is an interview of a doctor being able to use electronic health records (EHR) to review medical records at home on the weekend and alert her patients and set up appointments if anything is alarming. This easily accessible system for doctors whenever they need it is great. This will improve the quality of health care and allow multiple doctors to communicate with each other and have a synchronized health plan for patients who need to see multiple specialty doctors. Technology is constantly being improved and will impact the quality of health care in the future.

Top 10 free medical apps
I found this article pretty useful to look up the top applications that are used in the medical field. I find the Iradiology one pretty cool and how all med students should have this application, as it helps them get better at reading MRIs and X-rays. I find it fascinating how mobile devices are being incorporated into the health care field and how all professionals are utilizing these devices to improve quality of life and improve education.

Cell Phones and Brain tumors
Researchers are trying to find links between cell phones and brain tumors, but it is difficult to research as the tumors usually show up within 30 years. I watched this video on youtube showing cell phones popping popcorn when someone was calling them due to the frequencies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V94shlqPlSI. This scares me a little. What would mobile health be like without cell phones and devices that emit electrical impulses? We should promote the use of head phones or devices that keep your brains away from mobile devices. We wouldn't want technology causing unneeded health problems. Here is the link to the article:

Robots Improving Health Care
I find this information very exciting! Toyota is designing robots and advanced technology to improve health care. These robots are designed to help patients regain balance and also allows transfer of heavy patients. Being in many nursing homes as my family consist of many occupational therapist, I know that this technology would be great to rehabilitate patients and allow the transfer of heavy patients instead of having nurses and therapist strain at doing these tasks. I am really looking forward to future technologies being invented to improve quality of life and advance the heath care field.
